A cliffside village glowing above the sea at dusk

A private house on the Mediterranean

Where the sea
keeps the time

White houses and blue domes stepping down to a calm sea

The house

Built for slow mornings

Casa Sereno began as one family's summer house. It is still run like one. Twenty-two suites, thick limestone walls, and a staff who learn how you take your coffee by the second day.

There is no lobby and no queue. Someone meets you at the gate, hands you something cold, and shows you to your room. The rest of the day belongs to you.

A whitewashed lane with potted plants stepping down toward deep blue water

The arrival

Leave the car at the gate

A white lane, warm underfoot, with the sea at the end of it. Your bags take the other way round.

A white courtyard with tall palms reflected in still water at dusk

The courtyard

The house opens around water

Old palms and a long, still pool. Lanterns come on at dusk, and drinks arrive before you've thought to ask.

A bed with no fourth wall
